Second base explains difference between good and bad performance objectives...
At first base we watched the classic Abbot and Costello "Who's on first base" movie short which reinforces how easy we can confuse learners and ourselves without clear performance objectives. Here on second base we learn the vocabulary of good performance objective words that target behaviors in terms of actions (performance) that can be objectively observed, verified,a nd evaluated by a third party. The cool part is how "Counterfeit" terms (real verbs) can mislead the instructional designer to think they are creating good lesson plans when in fact, the results cannot be independently witnessed (seen or heard) for evaluation. After reviewing these terms, we play the Pitfall Challenge!
